The U.S. State Department stated today, Tuesday, that Secretary Antony Blinken discussed U.S. support for Israel in a call with Israeli counterpart Eli Cohen. It added in a statement that Blinken "reiterated our efforts to ensure the immediate release of all hostages." In a separate statement, the department noted that Blinken also spoke with French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna, and they reiterated their condemnation of Hamas attacks on Israel.
