Turkey Expects Gulf Investments Following Officials' Visit to the UAE

Two informed sources indicated today, Thursday, that "Turkey expects the UAE and Saudi Arabia to invest in the energy and defense sectors," following negotiations held by senior Turkish economic officials in Abu Dhabi. The government announced that Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz and Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek traveled to the UAE yesterday, Wednesday, for discussions ahead of a potential visit from President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
