The English Football Association announced on Wednesday that Nottingham Forest player Harry Toffolo has been suspended for five months, with a suspended sentence, and fined approximately £21,000 ($26,000) after admitting to committing 375 breaches of the association's betting rules. The FA stated: "The defender admitted to breaching Rule E1(b) of the FA’s rules 375 times between January 22, 2014, and March 18, 2017, and these penalties were imposed by an independent regulatory commission following a hearing." The violations occurred between 2014 and 2017 while Toffolo was playing for Norwich City, and while on loan at Swindon Town, Rotherham United, Peterborough United, and Scunthorpe United.
