Russia Launches Its Second Military Satellite in a Week

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the launch of a new military satellite into space, making it the second satellite launched within a week from the "Plesetsk" spaceport. According to a statement from the ministry's press service: "On Wednesday, December 27, at 10:03 AM Moscow time, the Aerospace Forces of the Ministry of Defense of Russia launched a new military satellite into space. A Russian Soyuz-2.1v rocket was used for the launch." The Russian Ministry of Defense had also launched a military satellite from the same base on December 21, noting that "the satellite was placed into its designated orbit, and control over it has begun from ground centers of the Ministry of Defense of Russia," as reported by the "Zvezda" channel on Telegram.
