Arrest of Two Citizens for Firing Gunshots in Tripoli

The Army Command - Directorate of Orientation announced that on 3/9/2023, a unit of the military, supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, arrested two citizens, (M.S.) and (T.S.), for firing shots into the air in the area of the port corniche in Tripoli. It was noted that "during the arrest, the citizens attempted to flee from the patrol and fired shots in its direction, to which the patrol responded in kind, resulting in (M.S.) being injured and taken to a hospital for treatment. A firearm was seized from them. The arrested individuals were handed over to the relevant authorities and an investigation was initiated."
