Electronic Registration Data According to the New Model Starting Monday

The General Directorate of Personal Status announced that starting from the morning of Monday, September 11, 2023, civil registries will begin issuing electronic individual and family registration data according to the new unified model, which includes new standards, the most important of which is the QR code. This will allow interested parties to verify the accuracy of the registration data and will help avoid confusion that occurred when manually filling out family registration data. It is noted that one can view the characteristics, the new statement, and its specifications through the video published on the General Directorate’s website www.dgcs.gov.lb.

This initiative is part of the administration's commitment to the action plan set since 2017 regarding the automation and development of work within the General Directorate of Personal Status to facilitate citizens' affairs, relying on its own human capabilities and avoiding private companies to save money for the Lebanese state and not burden it with additional financial burdens.

The directorate also mentioned that if citizens still have copies of individual and family registration data issued since 2017, they can renew them at civil registries and stamp them with the phrase "No modifications have occurred to date."
