The General Directorate of Civil Defense in the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities has issued a warning to citizens and residents against engaging in any maritime sports or activities along the Lebanese coastline, stretching from Abdeh in the north to Naqoura in the south, today and tomorrow.
The directorate clarified in a statement that the warning is due to high waves and strong sea currents, which significantly increase the risk of drowning incidents, posing a real threat to beachgoers' lives.
Everyone is urged to completely refrain from swimming and participating in water sports and other marine activities during these two days, and to adhere strictly to safety guidelines to protect their lives.
