Four police officers and municipal workers were killed during the demolition of unlicensed buildings in the Iranian capital, Tehran, on Sunday. The Tehran Fire Department spokesperson stated that reports were received about the collapse of unlicensed buildings under construction in the Ahmadieh area, prompting the dispatch of fire trucks along with several cranes and debris removal equipment. According to Tasnim news agency, "Based on a judicial order, several unlicensed buildings in southern Tehran were destroyed. Due to a lack of safety precautions, some adjacent buildings were also destroyed, resulting in the deaths of four individuals, including two police officers."
