The long absence of French tennis player Benoit Paire from victories continued as he lost 5-7, 4-6, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 to British player Cameron Norrie, ranked 14th, in the first round of the French Open today, Monday. Norrie stated, "It was a great match, Paire played very well, and I'm happy to see him competing like this again. We put on a good show in wonderful conditions... it was a strong match." Unusually, Paire appeared calm and earned 70 winners, but the defeat marked his third consecutive first-round loss at "Roland Garros."
