The spokesperson for the United Nations Human Rights Office, Ravina Shamdasani, stated today, Friday, that "the office has released an updated list of companies that operate in Israeli settlements, after removing 15 companies and retaining most of the international firms." Shamdasani noted, "The UN list is limited in scope due to budgetary constraints, and the Human Rights Office could only review the original list that includes 112 companies." She added, "Only 13 out of the 112 listed companies cooperated with us in updating the list." In response, the Israeli diplomatic mission in Geneva stated, "By updating this list, unfortunately, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights' office and the Human Rights Council reaffirm that they are a biased party in the region, serving those who pursue a discriminatory agenda against Israel."
