The rain, which should be a blessing for the people of the Gaza Strip given the scarcity of drinking water and the blockade, has instead submerged their tents and soaked their belongings. Many have resorted to sleeping in the streets after large portions of the city have been destroyed and they have lost their homes. With the streets flooded, it has become impossible for Gazans to distinguish between the sound of lightning, thunder, and the falling random bombardments that are also like rain.
