The Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, met with the Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon, Ashraf Dabbour, to discuss developments in the Ain al-Hilweh camp. Ambassador Dabbour informed the Army Commander about the steps taken to reach a memorandum of understanding by the Joint Palestinian Action Committee, which includes a ceasefire and maintaining security in the camp.
General Aoun also reviewed the general situation in the country with Deputies Abdul Aziz al-Samad and Nabil Badr. He received former Minister and Deputy Abdullah Farhat, along with accompanying delegation, to discuss various matters. Additionally, cooperation between the Lebanese Army and the Lebanese University was a topic of discussion in the meeting between the Army Commander and the President of the Lebanese University, Professor Bassam Badran.
