The executive council of Ogero announced the suspension of the strike starting today until the first meeting of the Cabinet convenes. A statement was issued stating: "After our strike reached the desired impact locally, regionally, and even with international trade union bodies, and after its repercussions affected the overall local situation, and following the Minister's initiative to call for a Cabinet meeting dedicated to discussing the situation at Ogero and his adoption of the reform and demand paper prepared by the union, and to prevent those fishing in troubled waters from impacting national security and disrupting our legitimate demands, the executive council announces the suspension of the declared strike from today until the first meeting of the Cabinet is held, based on what will be issued from it to take appropriate action." The council confirmed that it will keep its meetings open to monitor developments and issue the appropriate stance.
