Former U.S. President Donald Trump predicted that he would be "arrested" on Tuesday due to allegations of paying hush money to a porn star before the 2016 election, calling on his supporters to protest.
Trump wrote on his social media platform "Truth Social" on Saturday morning, "The leading Republican candidate and former President of the United States will be arrested on Tuesday. Protest! Take our country back!" referring to a "leak" of information from the Manhattan District Attorney's office.
He added that he would be arrested on March 21 due to allegations that he paid porn star Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about their alleged relationship.
Trump described those trying to arrest him as "corrupt and politically motivated," insisting that the alleged hush money paid to Stormy Daniels is "a completely old fairy tale."
If the charges against Trump are proven true, he would become the first former president to face criminal charges.
