According to Pakistani television channel "Geo News," a court has charged former Prime Minister Imran Khan today, Wednesday, regarding the illegal sale of government gifts during his tenure from 2018 to 2022. It reported that the Islamabad administration requested the intervention of the Pakistani military to maintain security.

The Pakistani police revealed that former Prime Minister Imran Khan will not be transferred to court and that his scheduled trial session today will be held in his place of detention.

Mohsin Shah Nawaz Ranjha, a member of the ruling coalition in Pakistan and prosecutor in Khan's case related to state gifts, confirmed the indictment, stating, "The former Prime Minister has endangered the peace of the country."

Protests continued on the streets for the second day, with mobile internet services being halted and social media platforms being disrupted. Additionally, the Islamabad police announced yesterday, Tuesday, the arrest of Imran Khan in the "Qadir Trust" case, referring to a corruption issue.
