New U.S. Sanctions Related to Human Rights

A post on the U.S. Department of the Treasury's website indicated that the United States has imposed new sanctions today, Friday, related to human rights, targeting individuals in various countries. The new sanctions specifically target Chinese and Iranian nationals, among others, under the Global Magnitsky Act, which freezes the assets of those believed by U.S. officials to be involved in human rights violations and prohibits Americans from engaging with them.
