Kuwait's government-owned airline announced today, Monday, its intention to operate flights to six new permanent destinations: the American capital Washington, Taif, Barcelona, Athens, Izmir, and Shiraz. The official agency quoted the company's CEO, Ma'n Rzouqi, stating that this comes "in implementation of the strategic plan to expand the route network worldwide," without specifying a timeline for launching these flights. Meanwhile, Chairman Ali Al-Dukhan confirmed that the company achieved a 30 percent increase in ticket sales revenue in the first half of 2023 compared to the same period last year. Additionally, there were increases of 33 percent in the number of flights and 45 percent in the number of passengers during the same period.
