Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian is starting an official visit to South Africa today, according to the ministry's spokesperson Nasser Kanaani. Kanaani stated, "The Foreign Minister will head to Pretoria today, to participate in the joint cooperation committee meeting between Iran and South Africa." The joint cooperation committee meeting between the two countries will be held after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
