Russia Intercepts Two U.S. Strategic Bombers Over the Baltic Sea

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that one of its Sukhoi-35 fighters was dispatched over the Baltic Sea on Monday after detecting two American strategic bombers flying towards Russian borders. However, the bombers subsequently left the area, and the Russian fighter returned to its airbase.

The ministry reported on Telegram that on March 20, radar systems of the air defense forces in the Western Military District operating over the Baltic Sea identified two aerial targets flying towards the borders of the Russian Federation. It added that the targets were two B52H strategic bombers belonging to the U.S. Air Force.
