Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is also the Saudi Prime Minister, received Pakistan's Army Chief, General Asim Munir, on Monday at the winter camp in Al-Ula. During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations and opportunities for their development, in addition to several matters of mutual interest.
The reception was attended by Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman and Minister of State and Member of the Council of Ministers, National Security Advisor, Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban. From the Pakistani side, present were the Director of the Army Chief's Office, Major General Muhammad Irfan, the Pakistani ambassador to the Kingdom, Amir Kahraman, and the military attaché at the Pakistani embassy, Brigadier General Muhammad Asim.
This is not the first time the Saudi Crown Prince has hosted a senior official at the winter camp; the media had previously highlighted images of him with the late Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, where they sat in a "Bedouin tent" while Abe explored Saudi heritage and culture. Earlier, the British magazine "Condé Nast Traveler," specialized in travel and tourism, announced that the Saudi tourist city of Al-Ula was among the Seven Wonders of the World in 2023.
