American billionaire Elon Musk admitted that his acquisition of the platform X "may fail." This acknowledgment came as he faced new backlash over the decision to remove the "block" feature on the social media site. Musk wrote that X (formerly Twitter) "may fail. The sad truth is that there are no great social networks right now. We may fail, as many have predicted, but we will try our best to make there be at least one distinctive social network."
Musk, whose fortune is estimated at about $225.5 billion, angered users last Friday when he revealed that they would no longer be able to block accounts, except in the case of direct messages. Musk argued that the block feature is "illogical," stating that users would have to settle for simply "ignoring" accounts.
