Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has received an invitation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to participate in the 32nd session of the Arab League Council at the summit level, which will be held in Jeddah on May 19. The invitation was conveyed by Naief al-Sudairi, the Saudi ambassador to Jordan. Assad expressed his greetings and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the invitation, emphasizing that the upcoming Arab summit in Saudi Arabia will enhance joint Arab action to achieve the aspirations of the Arab peoples. Ambassador al-Sudairi noted on his Twitter account that President Assad expressed great admiration for the historic achievements of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
