The spokesperson for the International Organization for Migration, Paul Dillon, stated today, Tuesday, that the number of displaced individuals inside Sudan has risen from last week to more than 700,000, amid ongoing fighting between the army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces. He mentioned during a press conference in Geneva, "It is very difficult now to access money; ATMs are out of order, and the banking system is not functioning, making it also hard to obtain fuel."
The World Health Organization indicated that "more than 600 people have been killed, and over five thousand have been injured since the outbreak of violence between the fighting parties."
