Bou Habib: Israeli Threats to Destroy Lebanon Constitute a Violation of Resolution 1701

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Abdallah Bou Habib, announced after his meeting with the UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Joanna Fronzinska, that he "requested the UN Secretary-General to be informed of our assessment of his stance in his recent interview with CNN, particularly his expression of moral and humanitarian support for children and civilians in Gaza." He pointed out that "the continuous Israeli statements and threats to destroy Lebanon constitute a blatant violation of Resolution 1701," adding, "Israeli extremism brings disasters, while moderation brings peace."
