UN: Violence in the West Bank Threatens to Spiral Out of Control

The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, noted that "the situation in the West Bank is severely deteriorating," adding that "Israeli forces killed at least 7 Palestinians, including children, in a refugee camp." He stated, "The violence that occurred this week in the occupied West Bank threatens to spiral out of control, fueled by a hardline political rhetoric and an escalation in Israel's use of advanced military weapons." The spokesperson added that "the weapons included helicopters and drones."
