An informed source revealed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged not to eliminate Hamas leaders based in Doha. The source stated that Qatar received guarantees from Israel that the Mossad would not carry out assassination operations against leaders of Hamas's political wing in Doha. It was added that "Israel was supposed to provide this assurance when Doha began its mediation regarding the hostage situation weeks ago."
Furthermore, the source indicated that Netanyahu "had previously ordered the Mossad to prepare for such eliminations." The informed source also noted that "there are plenty of other places besides Qatar to carry out such operations," possibly referring to Lebanon and Turkey where several Hamas political leaders are located.
