A 32-year-old Armenian citizen attempted to smuggle a gold necklace weighing around 2 kg through Vnukovo Airport in Moscow, Russia. The man caught the attention of Russian customs officials at the airport due to his nervousness and because he was dressed inappropriately for the current hot weather in Russia. When questioned, he took out the necklace himself, asserting that its price was only 50,000 rubles (approximately $450). However, after analysis, it was revealed that the necklace was made of pure gold and had a value of about 9 million rubles (approximately $10,000). The necklace was confiscated, and the man was detained, facing a potential prison sentence of 7 years.
