The World Organization for Animal Health announced today, Thursday, that "Israel reported an outbreak of the H5N1 bird flu virus among turkeys west of Jerusalem." The organization quoted a report from Israeli authorities stating that the outbreak resulted in the death of 43 out of 10,500 birds.
