According to Saudi news agency, "Erdoğan and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman witnessed the signing of contracts between the Turkish defense industry company Baykar and the Saudi Ministry of Defense."

For his part, Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman said that "Saudi Arabia will purchase the drones to enhance the readiness of the armed forces and strengthen the kingdom's defense and manufacturing capabilities." He tweeted, "We signed a contract with the Saudi Ministry of Defense for the export of Bayraktar Akıncı (combat drone) and for cooperation."

Additionally, two acquisition contracts were signed between the Ministry of Defense and the Turkish company Baykar, under which the Ministry of Defense is acquiring drones to enhance the military's readiness and boost the kingdom's defense and manufacturing capabilities.
