Karina Van Cauter, the governor of the East Flanders region in Belgium, stated in a statement today, Wednesday, that a 59-year-old woman died in the region yesterday, Tuesday, after being struck by debris from a fence during a period of heavy rainfall in the country. She added that authorities are not currently planning to carry out large-scale evacuations in the area.
