Spanish rider Marc Marquez confirmed that he is "completely committed to the Japanese team and is already looking forward to next year after a disappointing season in the MotoGP World Championship." Marquez withdrew from the German Grand Prix earlier this week after experiencing incidents before the race. Due to these adverse circumstances, speculations arose about the possibility of Marquez leaving Honda, but he affirmed his continuation with the Japanese team.
Marquez told the MotoGP website: "I am fully committed to Honda and I want to continue working with them to develop for the future and strengthen our project. Right now, I am working with them for the future. I mean the project for next year as things won't change much this season."
Following the crash he suffered last Sunday, Marquez sustained a fracture in his left thumb but stated that he is now ready to race within certain limits, especially in the absence of Honda's injured duo Joan Mir and Alex Rins. He added: "This will be more painful next weekend, but we will try to take it step by step and let's see. My participation is important given the absence of key Honda riders due to injury."
