Doctors Stop Sedation of Sergio Rico After Car Accident

A hospital in the city of Seville, Spain, announced today, Wednesday, that doctors have completely stopped sedating Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Sergio Rico, who had been in a medically induced coma for 10 days following a car accident. According to the hospital's medical report, Rico is "progressing well, although he remains in intensive care and his condition is still serious." The hospital indicated that a new statement will be issued on Friday, unless there are significant changes before then. Rico's family stated that he sustained serious injuries after being struck by a horse-drawn vehicle while participating in an annual event in southern Spain on May 28.
