Information from "Nidaa Al-Watan" indicated that there is ongoing discussion in Lebanon to prepare the army to fulfill its role as mandated by Resolution 1701. This resolution calls for the deployment of 12,000 soldiers in the area between the Blue Line to the south and the Litani River to the north. However, the army is currently deploying only 4,000 soldiers in that area due to a shortage in personnel. According to the information, discussions are underway to enlist 8,000 soldiers to fill this gap.
