Minor Injuries Among Egyptian Forces Due to Israeli Shelling

The Israeli army announced in a statement on Sunday evening that it mistakenly shelled an Egyptian site near the border in the Kerem Shalom area. The army spokesperson indicated that "the incident is under investigation and details are being examined," expressing regret over the occurrence.

As a result, the Egyptian army spokesperson stated that "some border monitoring personnel sustained minor injuries after one of the observation towers was hit by shell fragments from an Israeli tank due to the mistake during clashes in the Gaza Strip on Sunday." He added, "The Israeli side expressed regret for the unintentional incident immediately after it happened, and an investigation into the circumstances of the event is ongoing."

Egyptian media reported that an Israeli bombardment took place near the Egyptian border with the Gaza Strip. The media confirmed that the shelling had no impact on the ongoing flow of aid to the sector.
