The Army Command - Directorate of Guidance announced that on 1/10/2023, during protests in the Laboue area following the killing of a citizen during a security checkpoint in the town of Al-Ayn on 30/9/2023, protesters blocked the international Baalbek - Homs road. The military unit assigned to open the road was subjected to stone-throwing. The Army Command urged citizens to exercise self-restraint and cooperate with security measures, and confirmed that it has begun an investigation into all events to uncover the circumstances of the incident.
