Resignation of the Prime Minister of Georgia

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili announced his resignation during a televised press conference today, Monday, ahead of the parliamentary elections scheduled to take place by October. Earlier, Georgian media reported that the head of the ruling Georgian party, Irakli Kobakhidze, would replace Garibashvili, who has held the position since 2021.
