The European Commission announced today, Friday, that it has "approved a support package worth 118 million euros (130 million dollars) to assist the Palestinian Authority." It added that "the aid will help pay salaries and pensions for civil service employees in the West Bank, social allowances for needy families, and cover costs for medical referrals to hospitals in East Jerusalem."
