Tottenham Hotspur coach Ange Postecoglou announced that Argentine defender Cristian Romero is ready to play in the team's home match against Manchester United tomorrow, Saturday, after sustaining a knock during last week’s 2-2 draw with Brentford. In a press statement, he mentioned that "it was clear he was under the care of the medical team, went through all the protocols, passed all tests, and felt comfortable throughout the week. Apart from that, there is no change compared to last week."
Postecoglou speculated that fans might see more transfer deals before the current period ends, focusing on young players. He said, "The truth is we can't just settle for signing players. This affects training and impacts the players; our focus now is to try to adjust the team's shape and see where that leads us."
Saturday’s match will be the coach's first at home in the league, but the Australian stated that he does not yet feel comfortable with the fans chanting his name. Romero scored Tottenham's first goal in the Premier League this season with a header after 11 minutes at the Community Stadium but was subsequently substituted due to a suspected concussion.
