The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, confirmed that the danger has become imminent for state institutions in Lebanon. During his participation in the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, he added: “We emphasize the necessity of finding a solution to the presidential vacancy, and there are differences between the United States and France in the quintet committee regarding Lebanon, and no statement was issued following the meeting called for by France at the French mission to the United Nations.” His Highness the Emir expressed that the Palestinian people should not remain prisoners of the oppression of Israeli settlement and the refusal of successive Israeli governments to accept any just political solution according to the principles of international legitimacy.
