Title: Soon.. UAE to Lift Ban on Issuing Entry Visas for Lebanese Citizens

An Emirati official confirmed to Reuters today that the country will lift a temporary ban on issuing entry visas to Lebanese citizens in the coming days. The official stated that "the temporary restrictions are due to security concerns," noting that they are under continuous review, and that they will be lifted for specific categories of visas in the coming days. Lebanese citizens have reported in recent weeks that the UAE is not granting entry visas to Lebanese residents outside the country. Two travel agents in Lebanon informed Reuters that they are unable to request visas for Lebanese citizens to enter the UAE through the usual online system, mentioning that they have not received any new instructions or changes regarding entry requirements. One of the agents mentioned that in previous instances when the UAE suspended visa issuance, it was due to a technical ban on visa applications without official instructions, similar to the current situation. A helpline from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai indicated that "Lebanese citizens outside the UAE will temporarily not receive visas based on directives from the Ministry of Interior."
