Cameras captured a new behavior from French star Kylian Mbappé of Paris Saint-Germain towards the team’s fans after the match against Toulouse. PSG stumbled in their second consecutive match, drawing 1-1 against Toulouse in the second round of the French league.
Mbappé returned to participate with PSG after missing the first match against Lorient due to a management decision to exclude him from matches because of his reluctance to renew his contract.
After the match, PSG players went to greet their fans who had traveled to Toulouse to support them despite the disappointing draws in the first two rounds. However, Mbappé was seen in a video leaving the field towards the dressing rooms while the other players stood to salute the fans in the stands.
Mbappé's neglect of greeting the fans after the match stirred considerable debate on social media. The 24-year-old participated as a substitute in Saturday’s match and scored a goal from a penalty. Team officials are trying to renew Mbappé's contract, which expires next summer, while reports suggest that the player has reached an agreement with Real Madrid to transfer for free at the end of the season.
