A drone crashed near a village in the Golan Heights of Syria after an Iraqi faction claimed responsibility for an attack in the area, according to the Israeli army. Israeli media suggested that the attack drone was equipped with explosives and was launched from Syria. It was shot down on Wednesday evening, south of the Eliad settlement, causing property damage without any casualties. The Israeli army confirmed to AFP that a drone had crashed near Eliad but did not provide additional details. The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, which includes Iran-aligned factions, announced in a statement that they targeted a vital objective in the Golan with appropriate weaponry "in support of our people in Gaza."
