A "deceased" woman astonished her relatives in Thailand after waking up and returning to life on the way to her funeral.
Chataporn Srivonla (49 years old) apparently died while being transported from the hospital to her home in Udon Thani province on June 29. While en route to Ban Dong in a truck, the paramedics believed Chataporn had stopped breathing and appeared to have passed away.
Immediately, Chataporn's elderly mother, Mali, contacted relatives to inform them of her daughter's death, and everyone thought she had succumbed after battling liver cancer. The family followed Buddhist traditions for cremation and quickly prepared for her funeral, buying a coffin and coordinating with temple staff for the funeral rites.
The vehicle transporting Chataporn's body was diverted from her home to Wat Sri Vadong Patana temple, where the body was scheduled to be stored overnight. However, passengers were shocked when the supposedly deceased woman suddenly gasped and woke up.
Following this, Chataporn was taken to Ban Dong Hospital, where she is currently under medical supervision alongside her daughter, according to the British newspaper Mirror.
