Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that his country will respond to Russia's attacks in the Black Sea to ensure that its waters are not blockaded and that it can import and export grains and other goods. Zelensky emphasized, "If Russia continues to dominate the Black Sea, outside its territory, and blockades us or fires upon us again, or launches missiles at our ports, then Ukraine will do the same. This is a fair defense of our opportunities, in any corridor." He added, "We don’t have many ships. But they must clearly understand that by the end of the war, they will have no ships, zero." Zelensky called on Russia to stop firing missiles and drones at Ukrainian ports and to allow trade.
