The Iranian team won the World Junior Freestyle Wrestling Championship after securing 6 medals. The national Iranian junior freestyle wrestling team achieved two gold medals, two silver medals, and two bronze medals, winning the championship held in Turkey.
The championship took place from August 4 to 6 in Istanbul and concluded with the Iranian team winning the title with a total of 156 points, having earned gold medals from Ahoor Khatri in the 45 kg weight category and Sina Khalili in the 65 kg category, silver medals from Sajjad Perdai in the 60 kg category and Abolfazl Hosseini in the 71 kg category, and bronze medals from Sam Siyar in the 48 kg category and Tohid Nouri in the 92 kg category.
The Iranian team won this championship after finishing fourth in the previous year's competition. The American team placed second with 126 points, and Japan finished third with 106 points.
