The Council of State has decided to obligate the parties summoned, namely the state, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, and the Municipality of Sidon, to respond to the petition filed by Maisa Al-Hanouti and her associates on July 17, regarding the request to suspend and invalidate the decision of the Minister of Public Works and Transport and the decision of the Mayor of Sidon, which prohibits accessing Sidon Beach in swimwear. They are required to respond within a week from the date they are informed of the decision, based on the principle of fairness, so that the council can issue its ruling. If there is no response within this timeframe, the Council of State may issue its decision automatically. It is worth noting that the plaintiff was notified of the decision, which was issued on the 22nd of this month, on Monday, and the summoned party was notified on the same day. The summoned party has until next Monday to respond, or else the council will issue its decision automatically.
