Paris Saint-Germain, the French champion, announced today, Thursday, the signing of defender Milan Skriniar until 2028 after his contract with Inter Milan ended. Skriniar, the 28-year-old captain of the Slovakia national team, won the Italian league once and the Coppa Italia twice, as well as the Supercoppa Italiana twice during six seasons with Inter, the runner-up in Europe. He played 246 matches with Inter and scored 11 goals but missed much of last season due to injuries. Skriniar will replace veteran Spanish defender Sergio Ramos following the end of his contract. He expressed his happiness on the San Germain website, stating, "I am very happy to be part of this wonderful team; San Germain is one of the best teams in the world, featuring amazing players and incredible fans." PSG appointed Spanish coach Luis Enrique yesterday, Wednesday, to replace Christophe Galtier.
