The Minister of Communications in the caretaker government, Johnny Al-Qarm, described the situation of Ogero Company as "very exhausted and the service is non-functional." He pointed out the "urgent need for funds in the Ogero authority for the ministry to fulfill its duties." Al-Qarm stated in a radio interview that the ministry did not receive any lira for maintenance in the 2022 budget. He added, "Ogero's dollar today is 25,500 lira, covering the cost, provided the exchange rate does not change," noting that "citizens talk about waste in the telecommunications sector, while it is impossible to waste in the absence of expenses." Regarding the project to legalize illegal internet, Al-Qarm confirmed "the continuation of this project," saying, "We have obtained details of all subscribers, and the numbers we have collected so far indicate 60,000 subscribers will be connected to the network, but the enforcement process will take some time."
