Canada Reaffirms Call for Humanitarian Ceasefire in Gaza

Canada's Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly reiterated the call for a humanitarian ceasefire in the conflict in Gaza on Monday, stating that "there is little time left to evacuate Canadians and hostages while providing much-needed aid." Joly, in a speech delivered at the Canadian Economic Club in Toronto, said, "400 Canadians are trapped in Gaza, living in fear and despair... That's why we need a humanitarian ceasefire, a humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza." She added, "Time is running out. We need agreement from all parties to evacuate foreign nationals, including Canadians, release all hostages, and allow food, fuel, and water into Gaza."
