Sisi Again: We Reject the Displacement of Palestinians to Sinai

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi reiterated Egypt's "firm refusal to displace Palestinians, whether through internal displacement or external relocation, especially to Egyptian territories in Sinai." During his meeting today, Saturday, with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, Sisi stated: "The only solution to the Palestinian issue lies in achieving comprehensive and just peace based on the two-state solution according to established international references." For her part, the European Commission President presented her assessment of the situation in Gaza and emphasized the EU's profound appreciation for the pivotal role Egypt plays in this regard. The spokesperson for the Egyptian presidency noted that "the meeting also addressed ways to enhance cooperation between Egypt and the European Union, reflecting the strong ties between both parties, and an agreement was reached to continue working to strengthen these relations and expand them into broader horizons across various fields."
